Pölzl Peter - PöP Art - Orizzonte di Punto Sottile (XXL)

This unique original work by Peter Pölzl / poep-art – is 100% hand-painted. Made in Italy

The “leitprofil” (guiding profile) for the explanation of my pictures is best described as a conscious refusal of linguistic designation in many images. For PoP, speaking about art is often difficult or even “senseless,” as painting, for him, represents an autonomous form of thought that goes beyond what can be said.

He sees painting as a process that starts where language ends. He holds the view that one can only put into words what words can express—painting has nothing to do with that.

In summary: my guiding profile is the openness of the image. For him, a picture must be able to exist without external explanation, since any interpretation would merely limit the image.

An abstract painting by Peter Pölzl no longer looks like a representation of reality, but like a battlefield of colors and layers. There are no recognizable objects, figures, or landscapes anymore.
