Description from the seller
Ancient Olive Dreamscape is a striking acrylic painting on canvas by artist Kirsty Wain. Part of her celebrated Olive Series, this piece features the gnarled, sculptural trunk and vibrant canopy of an ancient olive tree set against a dreamy, colourful background.
The artwork pays homage to Vincent van Gogh’s iconic twisted olive trees through its dynamic, expressive line work, yet remains distinctly Kirsty Wain—distilled through her signature bold colour palette of vivid teals, deep purples, luminous pinks, and lush greens.

About the Artist
Kirsty Wain is a British painter currently living and working in Spain. Deeply connected to the Mediterranean landscape, her work offers an expressive, emotive interpretation of the surrounding environment. Drawing strong inspiration from Post-Impressionism and the bold colour theory of Fauvism, Wain uses vibrant hues, textured application, and fluid line work to capture the intrinsic energy, spirit, and light of a location. Her paintings, frequently focused on ancient olive groves, hillside pines, and sweeping terrains—seek to translate fleeting personal moments and deep emotional ties to place directly onto the canvas.
Wain’s distinct visual language continues to gain international visibility, and her paintings are held in private collections around the world.
´ I love colour. I love nature. I love art. Together, they are my language. ´ K Wain 2025
