Natalia Revelles, Mimesis, an original contemporary acrylic painting on canvas, 80 × 80 cm, hand-signed on the front, shipped stretched on wooden stretcher bars and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, sold direct from the artist in Spain.
Description from the seller
80x80 cm. Unique handmade artwork. Technique: Acrylic on canvas. Hand-signed on the front. Includes a Certificate of Authenticity. The artwork is shipped stretched on its wooden stretcher bars and carefully packaged in a protective box to ensure safe delivery.
This work belongs to the Anagnorisis series, a project centered on identity and transformation.
In Mimesis, I depict a female figure whose attire evokes theatre and performance without belonging to any specific character. This ambiguity presents identity as a construct shaped by the many roles we play throughout our lives.
The work thus raises a question: where does the character end and the true self begin? This idea extends to the pictorial language itself. I work with highly fluid paint, using glazes and textures to express the concepts of impermanence and emptiness.

Natalia Revelles López (b. 1983, Córdoba, Spain) is a contemporary Symbolist painter whose work explores identity, memory, and the relationship between the human mind and nature.
She studied Fine Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts Alonso Cano in Granada, graduating in 2006. Her practice combines portraiture with natural and symbolic elements, employing expressive brushwork, rich textures, and mixed media to create psychologically charged and evocative imagery.
In recent years, her work has evolved toward an increasingly symbolic and introspective visual language, rooted in the exploration of the unconscious and the inner life. This research crystallized in her solo exhibition Reflection of the Unconscious, presented from September 4 to October 31, 2025, in the upper cloister of the Palacio de Congresos de Córdoba, a historic site of significant heritage value. In this project, Natalia explores the image as an emotional mirror, inviting the viewer to confront their own layers of consciousness.
