Het Graf, in vier zangen, an illustrated Dutch poetry book by Rhijnvis Feith with engravings by Reinier Vinkeles, in a hardback binding, published by J. Immerzeel junior in The Hague in 1829, 133 pages, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Third edition (originally published in 1792), 8vo, pp. [9], vi-xiv, 105, [3]; title page with engraved vignette, 8 engraved head- and tail-pieces (signed by Reinier Vinkeles); original boards bound with yellow paper. In good and sturdy condition. *Het Graf* belongs to the funeral- and nocturnal poetry as it was written throughout Europe. Buijnsters calls the poem the monumental closing piece of Dutch funeral poetry from the second half of the eighteenth century. The vignettes by Reinier Vinkeles closely align with the text by Feith, which points to intensive consultation between the writer and the engraver.
