Description from the seller
Technical Details and Description
Acrylic painting on canvas
Dimensions: 108 × 108 cm
Canvas: 400 g/m²
Technique: acrylic, mixed media
Unique, hand-painted and signed
After mounting on a wooden stretcher frame, the visible format is approximately 98 × 98 cm. The final dimensions may vary slightly depending on the thickness of the stretcher frame used.
A bright poppy field unfolds beneath a wide sky, whose cool blue tones gradually transition into warm, golden light. Lively red flowers rise above a multi-layered mesh of grasses, buds, and delicate plant textures, imparting both vitality and lightness to the composition.
The varying heights and sizes of the poppies create natural spatial depth: some blooms come clearly to the foreground, while others almost disappear into the green shrubbery. Free splashes of color and small white accents in the lower part of the image reinforce the spontaneous, untamed character of a summer meadow.
Particularly appealing is the contrast between the intense red of the petals and the calm, atmospheric color palette of the background. The warm light on the horizon makes the landscape glow from within and conveys the mood of a quiet summer evening – a moment between warmth, freedom, and emerging calm.
Despite the rich floral texture, the work preserves a pleasant openness thanks to the generous sky area. Thus the composition combines expressive vitality with a tranquil, almost poetic atmosphere.
The artwork will be shipped rolled, carefully wrapped in a sturdy cardboard tube and additionally protected in a robust outer cardboard package.
About the artist
Alla Faber lives and works in Hamburg. For several years she has dedicated herself to abstract and contemporary painting, creating large-scale works that balance between stillness and movement, structure and lightness.
Her preferred materials are acrylic paints, texture gels and metal foils – combined in fine, often multi-layered compositions. Through delicate transitions, harmonious color gradients, and light reflections, images arise that do not dominate the space but fill it with quiet presence.
Her artistic work follows the concept ‘So klingt die Stille’ – a painterly exploration of the moment between sound and silence. In this silence there is not emptiness for Faber, but a living energy: the breathing of light, the whisper of colors, the gentle pulsing of space.
Her works have already been shown in several exhibitions in Hamburg, including Hamburg zeigt Kunst, in various galleries and HASPA branches. Numerous works are today in private collections across Europe – including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Her works are also represented in private collections worldwide, including the USA and the United Arab Emirates.
