Oil painting by the German landscape painter Gustav Türk (1923–1978). Türk was based in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and known for his expressive landscape depictions. Lower right, hand-signed by the artist: “G. Türk”.
Gallery shipping label: On the back is still the original preserved gallery and framing label from the renowned Munich art dealership Gebrüder Schöninger (Munich) with the work designation Motif: “Südlich”, Artist: Türk, Art: Oil and the dimensions. Dimensions (Canvas): approx. 30 x 70 cm / 30 x 79 cm
Dimensions (with frame): approx. 42 x 82 cm
Condition:
Canvas/painting: Very good, well-preserved original condition with strong color intensity.
Frame: The original wood/fabric frame from the period shows signs of aging and wear (dings and flaking on the outer varnish, see detail photos). The frame is explicitly included as a complimentary accessory with no value assessment.
