Binding in light brown leather (cuoio) with blind fillets, gilt floral friezes at the corners and a central gilt medallion with the profile of Saint Joan of Arc and the legend “SAINTE JEANNE D’ARC + JESUS + MARIA”. Title “MISSEL” printed in gold on the spine.

Small Catholic Missal entirely dedicated to Saint Joan of Arc, printed in Limoges in 1930 (Nihil obstat April 18, Imprimatur April 20, 1930, no. 207).
Contains the Ordinary of the Mass (Latin-French), prayers, hymns, psalms and devotional texts, enriched by numerous vignettes and engravings illustrating episodes from the Saint’s life (Domrémy, Orléans, Reims, Compiègne, imprisonment, etc.). Frontispiece with a beautiful full-page illustration by R. Mouny depicting Joan of Arc in armor.

A notably rare copy: small-format Missal, bound in leather with a gilt medallion dedicated to Joan of Arc, produced in a limited edition by Éditions Ardant of Limoges.

Preserves the charm of French religious printing of the 1930s and is particularly sought after by collectors of devotional editions, period bindings and Joan-of-Arc material.

General condition good, with normal signs of use of the binding.
