jenggala Brojol keris with Dwiwarna pamor from Java
Keris with Dapur Brojol. A jenggala keris can be identified by the slight bend of the blade just above the ghandik, at the level of the tikel-alis and the rough Damascus steel texture of the blade.
This is a special pamor situation, also known as Dwiwarna, two pamors. In this case there is not only Udan Mas pamor but also pamor Ngulit Semangka.
Pamor Udan Mas is a beloved and sought-after pamor motif in the keris world. Notably, almost (about 90%) of all kerises with Udan pamor are heterosexual/purely male charms. The image of pamor Udan Mas consists of beads with at least three, but usually more than five sections. The diameter is about 5 mm. The position of the beads can be orderly in groups, or free and disorderly.
The magical power of pamor Udan Mas brings prosperity and luck. This belief exists not only in Indonesia, but certainly also in Malaysia and Brunei. In Java, keris with pamor Udan Mas are considered the very best. Udan Mas is highly sought after by entrepreneurs and traders. Because of this, pamor Udan Mas has become very expensive and there are many counterfeit products on the market.
Additionally, the blade is also forged with pamor Ngulit Semangka. The pamor lines of Ngulit Semangka are like the different paths leading to a direction. It strengthens the owner’s belief in finding and using different ways to realize his goals and ideals and to continue without getting discouraged, to keep striving and never give up. The blade was recently ritually and professionally washed, making the pamor very clear again.
The blade is forged to Brojol dapur (form). With the philosophy of the dhapur Brojol we surrender to the spiritual power of the supernatural. Although Brojol is a fairly simple form, its power is complex. It enables the owner to lead his life in a pure, peaceful and calm manner. By living this way, the owner is protected and will be immune to stress and distraction, allowing him to focus more on his life goals.
