Paul René Vogelweith was a French painter born on January 27, 1881, in Guebwiller and died on January 7, 1950, in Strasbourg.
Primarily active in Alsace, he is notably listed in Charles Lotz's reference work on Alsatian painters. His work mostly comprises oil paintings and watercolors depicting urban and rural landscapes.
He has widely illustrated scenes of Alsatian villages, the Strasbourg Cathedral, as well as the old quarters of Paris such as Montmartre.
