This edition is among the works most sought after by collectors, because JonOne signs his name in full.

Graffiti artist and painter of Dominican origin, John Andrew Perello alias JonOne, was born in New York in the sixties. Growing up in Harlem, JonOne learned his trade by tagging trains and the walls of his neighborhood from the age of seventeen. Self-taught, he would later move from urban supports to canvas, a support on which he has been exhibited around the world. His works are clearly influenced by his personal experiences, marked by hip hop, the street and the subway, as well as by the codes of modern painting.

With his innovative style that goes beyond the laws dictated by graffiti, street art and urban culture, he creates “freestyle” works with no limits. The freedom he advocates above all is his sole watchword.

In his graffiti paintings, space is fully used; white emptiness does not exist. Color appears as John’s vital charge; his palette is rich and vivid, the tones and contrasts reveal subtle nuances. In a harmonious composition that seems as spontaneous as it is measured, the forms intertwine and unwind, undulate or run straight. His canvases bring together all contrasts: symmetry and asymmetry, repetition and unification, precision and flexibility. Each of his works is an abstract, joyful improvisation.

In a very short time, JonOne has made a name for himself in the Paris artistic circles and has captivated critics as well as collectors. Today, the artist’s popularity is evident through his various collaborations with brands. JonOne has partnered with major brands such as Lacoste, Hennessy, Air France, Perrier and many others. A regular at fairs, the artist has also exhibited in numerous galleries such as Galerie David Pluskwa, Galerie Bartoux, Galerie Agnès b...
