"The Roads of Time": A vertical rhythm of colors, marks and layers that dialogue with each other like streets crossing through time. The materials and transparencies create depth while the lines and bursts of color unite the different areas of the composition. An abstract work that conveys energy, balance and expressive freedom, leaving room for multiple personal interpretations.

PAOLO CONTIN has been developing, for over twenty-five years, a personal artistic path in constant evolution. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he transfers in painting a particular sensitivity to color, form and compositional balance.

Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo show in Padua. This was followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with presence in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires and Sydney.

Paolo Contin's artistic journey is also documented by his inclusion in the Mondadori Art Catalog with related quotations. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo shows and major Art Fairs, some published with support from the Italian Cultural Institute.

He was also among the founding members of "Tostart", an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active until the pandemic period.

The artist, eclectic and independent, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, far from belonging to a single school or tendency. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, fields, geometric shapes and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he explores balance, movement and emotion.

Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works built through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a search that goes beyond painting alone.

His work continues to evolve today without preset formulas: each work arises from the desire to preserve freedom, identity and expressive authenticity.
