VOLTAIRE. Tales and Novels. Boutan-Marguin, Paris 1967-1969. 18/18 (complete in 18 volumes). Boutan-Marguin binders.
Beautiful binding in maroquiné calf leather with grain by the editor, richly adorned with gold tooling from the 18th century; The binding was made in the editor's workshops according to the designs and under the direction of Michel Redon. The engravings used for illustration are drawn from collections kept at the Bibliothèque Nationale as well as from artists such as Monet, Moreau-le-jeune, etc. The beautiful typography was printed on a fine watermarked paper Alfa of Navarre.
Approximately 300 pp./volume, i.e., about 5400 pages. 21x14 cm, 12 kg (packaging included).
Minimal wear on the binding, two volumes with the hinges a little split at the head of the spine; interior clean and fresh. In the frontispieces of each volume, a engraving in relief. Beautiful edition in very decorative bindings.
