Description from the seller
Original oil on canvas by Georgian artist Elene Bokeria (b. 2000, Tbilisi), now based in Barcelona.
The painting depicts a rearing black horse ascending through clouds, drawing on the horse's symbolic role in Georgian iconography and the artist's personal connection to Saint George, a recurring cultural figure in both Georgia and Catalonia.
Here, the horse appears without Saint George or the dragon, transforming the traditional image into a personal symbol of inner strength, self-love and transformation. The contrast between the dark horse and its white mane represents the duality of instinct and intellect, shadow and light.
The ornamental border incorporates tulip motifs, traditionally associated with perfect love in Persian symbolism, representing self-respect, self-trust and inner alignment.
