Description from the seller

Fashion Week
Series: Runway
Description
Fashion Week captures the energy, attitude and the ephemeral character of a contemporary runway. The female figure becomes the center of the scene, and the movement of her body, together with the silhouette and volumes of her clothing, builds an image marked by confidence and presence.
The work does not seek to represent merely a garment, but the attitude of the person who wears it. The spontaneous, expressive brushstroke adds dynamism and transforms the scene into a fleeting moment, like an image seen during a model’s passage down the runway.
Contemporary vision
Within the Runway series, Fashion Week explores the relationship between fashion, identity and personal expression. The runway appears as a space of representation where the body, the clothing and the movement build a language of its own.
The work also captures a very present idea in current fashion: clothing as an extension of personality. More than showing a concrete trend, the painting conveys attitude, confidence and creative freedom.
The gestural brushstroke keeps the painting process visible and prevents the scene from looking overly polished or photographic. That tension between the sophistication of fashion and the spontaneity of painting is what gives Fashion Week its contemporary character.

R. Serra is a visual artist based in Spain whose practice centers on pictorial research and the mechanisms of image construction. Her training in Plastic Arts, with a specialty in painting, along with later studies in graphic design, shape a language that places painting in dialogue with the aesthetics and visual logics of digital culture.
Her work investigates memory as a process of editing and reconstruction, where lived and imagined memories converge to generate images that question the stability of representation. Through painting, she explores the tensions between presence and absence, experience and fiction, proposing scenes suspended between the intimate and the universal.
Over the last decade she has developed a show career that includes group exhibitions in national and international galleries, consolidating her presence in the context of contemporary art.
