AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Pino Vastarella was born in Rome where he lives and works.

Architect, designer, stylist, painter and photographer, over the years he has traversed many forms of creative expression: from architectural design to interior design, from graphics to fashion, from painting to photography, from image publishing to reading performances. His path is the precise reflection of a personal history never completed and always geared toward confronting old memories and new experiments. It is above all the research on matter such as stone, marbles, jute and on materials, often derived from everyday life, that at first pushes him to engage with an artistic form of abstract material.

The ongoing experimentation of these years makes his material path meet figurative art. The abstract shapes become defined, feeding the curiosity to confront himself in a search where the materials return to representations of bodies, faces, statues and above all architectures a panorama of lived and torn reality.

In this work the artist wanted to fuse human fragility with industrial architecture: a metal truss that almost imprisons a classical statuary. The figures seem to emerge from a metaphysical world, suspended between chaos and harmony, capturing the energy of desire and transformation.

This work is mixed media and acrylic on canvas.
