A wonderful piece of Italian craftsmanship. This organically shaped glass bowl is beautifully made and displays masterful techniques from the mid-century period. Bullicante technique: In the thick glass, a regular pattern of embedded air bubbles has been incorporated, creating a beautiful depth effect and light refraction. The bowl has a rich ruby-red to purplish-red core surrounded by a bright green outer layer. Under UV light / blacklight, the glass glows bright green due to the presence of uranium.
