Two 0.75 L bottles of Jean-Marie Fourrier Vieilles Vignes from Bourgogne, France, vintage 2023.
Description from the seller
Jean-Marie Fourrier is one of the quiet legends of Gevrey-Chambertin — trained under Henri Jayer, and devoted to the idea that great wine is made in the vineyard, not the cellar. This Bourgogne Vieilles Vignes is his village-level calling card: fruit from a tiny parcel of roughly sixty-year-old vines just outside Gevrey, on clay, limestone and red marl soils, completed with carefully selected grapes from a handful of local growers. Whole-cluster fermentation, gentle extraction and ageing in once-used oak barrels give a wine that punches well above its Bourgogne appellation — fragrant, precise and deeply concentrated, from one of Burgundy's most sought-after addresses.
Bottles purchased from an official distributor and stored in our personal cellar under optimal conditions of humidity, light and temperature.
*NOTE: The bottle will be sealed with plastic film to ensure that the label will not get damage, then it will be wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in a suitable cardboard box.
** NOTE: Shipment to continental EU *ONLY*. NO shipping to the UK/IRL/ISL or any other island outside or within the EU. **
