Character of the work
The Veiled Stillness presents a calm, almost unreal landscape submerged in fog. Slender, dark trees rising from the shore form a clear, organic structure of the foreground, while in the distance additional tree silhouettes gradually vanish into a bright, milky atmosphere. The whole scene gives the impression of a place suspended between wakefulness and dream.

The central part of the composition is filled with a tranquil body of water, which reflects the foggy forest, light and delicate golden accents. The boundary between the real landscape and its reflection becomes almost invisible, creating the impression that the space has no clear beginning or end.

Soft light piercing through the mist gives the image a subtle, almost mystical aura. Golden reflections appearing on branches, on the shore and on the water surface contrast with the cool graphite and silvery tones of the landscape. Characteristic for Vale Noctis are golden lines and irregular structures that resemble traces of time or fragments of an old construction, which have been taken over by nature.

The composition rests on the contrast between permanence and passing. Dark trees seem stable and monumental, yet their blurred outlines show that even the most lasting elements can over time dissolve into space. The fog further deprives the landscape of definiteness, leaving room for imagination.

Vale Noctis creates contemporary, moodful paintings in which light, space, nature, architecture and human experience come together in authorial, multi-layered compositions.
In his works appear landscapes, sea, sailing ships, mountains, architecture, portals, geometric forms, faces, figures and abstract structures. These motifs do not form a closed catalog - the oeuvre remains open to new topics, directions and ways of building the image.
A distinctive juxtaposition of light and shadow, golden accents, deep tones, reflections and space gives the works a recognizable atmosphere. An important element of the oeuvre is the tension between reality and imagination - between what can be recognized and what remains open to individual interpretation.
In the artistic process, contemporary digital tools are used, including AI as an assisting tool, as well as tools for digital composition, editing, working with layers, color, light and detail.
