Description from the seller
Our planet is not a soccer ball: the work tackles the issue of climate change, sending a clear message: "Earth is not a plaything." This contemporary sculpture created by the artist duo Francioni Mastromarino depicts a soccer ball with relief continents, transformed into a globe with small cracks. A symbolic interpretation that fuses two images: the Earth, with the hexagons and pentagons characteristic of a soccer ball, all patinated with a rust effect thanks to the iron powder embedded in the ceramic plaster.
The authors denounce the disdainful behavior toward climate agreements, precisely now, during the World Cup hosted partly in the United States, highlighting the risk of treating climate change and the safeguarding of our planet with superficiality as in a game. Genuine autograph of the authors.
The materials used reflect a concrete commitment to the environment. The eco-sustainable mortars, inspired by biobuilding, are mixed with rice husk (a by-product of the rice milling) that Francioni Mastromarino have long used in their works; when mixed with the mortars it ensures the durability of the piece. This choice not only reduces environmental impact but also integrates the artwork’s message: respect for the planet must begin with the smallest details.
A sculpture with a strong visual and ethical impact, perfect for those who want a work of art that makes them reflect on the future of our world.
The sculpture results from the synergy of two artists, Francioni and Mastromarino, a pair of artists and of love who have been working together for about 20 years in their studio in Pietrasanta, Tuscany.
The chosen materials minimize the polluting percentage, as does the use of cardboard scraps as filler for shipping. The sculpture is carefully packaged in a very sturdy box and shipped by express courier. All our collectors are very satisfied with the sturdiness of our packaging.
With our sculptures we are present in private collections in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, France, Portugal, Denmark, Austria, USA, Switzerland, Romania, United Kingdom, Poland, Finland, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, United Arab Emirates and Italy.
For shipments outside the European Union, the sculpture will be accompanied by a certificate of free export for contemporary artworks, which will be stamped and validated by the Export Office of the Superintendent of Fine Arts of Florence, part of the Ministry of Culture.
Regarding shipments to Germany, we are registered with the German LUCID registry to ensure proper disposal of packaging. We commit to complying with environmental regulations and contributing to reducing environmental impact.
Whether the sculpture is shipped outside the European Union or to Germany, we make sure to provide all necessary documents and comply with the procedures required to ensure a safe and legal delivery.
