MUMA presents Arquitecturas Utópicas 05 (XL), a 2026 original acrylic painting by the artist duo, measuring 100 by 80 cm, in multicolour with orange, blue, yellow and red tones, signed by hand and sold directly from the artists with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
The series “Utopian Architectures” builds an universe of impossible architectures where geometry stops being merely structure and becomes visual thought. Through arches, planes, columns, and floating volumes, the compositions propose spaces that seem to inhabit a territory midway between model, memory, and abstraction. Each element maintains a delicate balance between stability and tension, as if the shapes existed suspended in a moment prior to movement or collapse.
Color plays a fundamental role in the series. The intensely saturated tones — electric pinks, deep blues, solar yellows, and artificial greens — transform geometry into an emotional experience before a rational one. The light, clean and precise, creates elongated shadows that extend the structures beyond the pictorial plane itself, generating a sense of paused time and a metaphysical space that recalls both certain Bauhaus and Constructivist ideas and the silent atmosphere of Giorgio de Chirico.
More than representing real buildings, these works function as mental constructions. They are architectures without practical function, conceived from intuition and contemplation, where emptiness is as important as matter. In them, the viewer does not find a physically habitable place, but a symbolic space to project perception, balance, and inner experience. The series thus poses a reflection on the relationship between order and emotion, between geometric rationality and poetic sensibility, situating abstraction as a way to imagine new possibilities of space and thought.
About MUMA:
MUMA is an artistic duo formed by a 3D generalist and designer and an art historian, both trained at Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid. Their artistic practice focuses on the plastic arts, with particular interest in color, movement, and the dynamism of forms, as well as variations of the environment. Their work is conceived to integrate into space and establish a direct dialogue with routine and human experience, exploring a vital vision linked to the ideals of impressionism, such as the relationship with nature, color, and changing environments. MUMA is connected to the professional world of digital and plastic arts in Madrid, with participation in competitions.
About preparation, packaging, and shipping of the artwork:
The work is hand-signed by the artistic duo and comes with an authenticity certificate also signed by them. The canvas, rolled, is carefully packed in a sturdy cardboard tube and will be shipped within three business days after purchase confirmation. The estimated delivery time will depend on the destination and the chosen carrier.
