Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
A refined and rare pair of Ginori porcelain plates from the early 19th century, each 24 cm in diameter and 6 cm high, with hand-painted floral bouquets and a fine gold edge, the back bearing the original six-pointed gold star mark, supplied with gilt metal wall mounts.
Description from the seller
Refined and rare pair of translucent dishes in the finest white porcelain, produced by the prestigious Ginori Manufactory in the very early years of the 19th century.
The surface of each plate is adorned at the center with a rich bouquet of flowers painted entirely by hand, rendered with extraordinarily minute and detailed painterly precision: roses, striped tulips, carnations, daisies, and small multicolored buds arranged artfully on the cavetto. The rims and the lips are encircled by a crisp line of gilt gold.
On the back, both pieces bear the original mark depicted by the six-pointed star painted in gold, an unmistakable symbol of Ginori’s highest-quality production from the imperial/neoclassical period.
The two plates are in excellent overall condition, free from structural defects, restorations, or significant wear to the painting. They are already complete with their adjustable gold-plated metal supports for wall display.
An ideal purchasing opportunity for collectors of Italian antique porcelain from the Early 19th Century and for high-era antiques.
