Napoli - Football World Championships - Diego Maradona - Rolling Stone magazine

Diego Maradona, the greatest player in the history of rock.

In this special, find the interview that the Ten gave to Rolling Stone in 1999, two years after he had left professional football and shortly before he stood on the brink of death in Punta del Este. Also, how the operation to have Maradona on that historic magazine cover unfolded; the connection between the Ten and the figures of the local rock scene; and a chronicle of the dazzling Maradonian career drawn from the jerseys he wore during his 20 years as a player.

Also, Rolling Stone toured Naples, a city that still mourns the man and star who led it from the mud to glory, and accessed the archive of photographer Ricardo Alfieri (son), which sums up two decades of total access to the intimacy of Maradona and his family.
