Fabio Tagliapietra - Sculpture "Manta in Volo Oceanico"
Description (Italian)
Artist: Fabio Tagliapietra
Technique: Solid Murano glass worked by hand free
Dimensions: e.g., 15,14,7 cm
Edition: Unique Piece
This extraordinary Murano glass sculpture evokes the grace and fluid movement of a manta gliding through ocean currents. The work is a triumph of color: Master Tagliapietra has enclosed within the crystalline body a chromatic explosion of saffron yellow, cobalt blue, ruby red, and amber veining. The technique of the "submerged glass" creates hypnotic depth, where color blotches seem to hang suspended in space. The silhouette, characterized by wide wings and an elegantly curved tail, catches the light from every angle, making the object feel alive and vibrant in any setting.
