Description from the seller
The porcelain pedestal stand or scattering vase is a precious collectible piece made by the renowned Hungarian manufactory Herend, internationally famous for its luxury artistic creations sculpted and painted entirely by hand. The Upper Cup: features a shell-shaped form with a sinuous, wavy rim. The white porcelain is decorated on the front with a refined miniature floral bouquet painted in violet shades and completed with green leaves. All the borders and the scrollwork reliefs feature 24-carat gilt details applied by brush. The Sculptural Base: depicts the mythological and stylized figure of a fish/dolphin supporting the cup. The animal's body is entirely relief-decorated with the typical scale pattern, enriched by glossy gold geometric details, while the ground base repeats the natural shapes of waves or stylized leaves highlighted by gold and green edging. • On the bottom there is the blue under-glass original Herend Hungary stamp, characterized by the crowned heraldic coat of arms above two crossed swords, the mark and the decorative style place the object roughly in the second half of the 20th century. The height is 11.5 cm with a weight of over 200 g. Excellent condition with only minimal traces of time and wear. See photos for conditions and measurements. I do not ship outside the European Community. The lot will be carefully packed and shipped in a reinforced polystyrene box.
