Pölzl Peter / poep-art - "ORIZZONTE VERTICALE" (XXL)

Description provided by the artist
This unique original work by Peter Pölzl / poep-art – is 100% hand-painted. Made in Italy

The “guiding profile” for explaining my images is best described through numerous pictures as a deliberate renunciation of linguistic fixation. For PöP, talking about art is often difficult or even “pointless,” since painting, for him, represents an autonomous form of thinking that goes beyond what can be said.

He sees painting as a process that begins where language ends. He holds the view that one can only put into words what words can express—therefore painting has nothing to do with it.

In summary: my guiding profile is the openness of the image. For him, a picture must stand on its own without external explanation, since any interpretation would merely restrict the image.

An abstract image by Peter Pölzl no longer looks like a representation of reality, but like a battlefield of colors and layers. There are no recognizable objects, figures, or landscapes left.
