Pölzl Peter - PöP Art - L´ANIMA VIVA (XXL)

This unique original work by Pölzl Peter / poep-art – is 100% handmade. Made in Italy

The “leitprofil” (guiding profile) for the explanation of my pictures can best be described in numerous images as a deliberate refusal of linguistic specification. For PöP, talking about art is often difficult or even “pointless,” since painting for him represents an autonomous form of thought that goes beyond what can be said.

He sees painting as a process that begins where language ends. He holds the view that one can only put into words what words can express—painting has nothing to do with it.

In summary: My guiding profile is the openness of the image. An image must be able to stand on its own for him, without external explanation, as any interpretation would merely restrict the image.

An abstract image by Peter Pölzl no longer resembles a depiction of reality, but a battlefield of colors and layers. There are no recognizable objects, figures, or landscapes left.
