Year of manufacture
Estimated year of manufacture: circa late 2000s / early 2010s.
The Heritage line from this period blended designs from the historic Longines archive with modern automatic movements and contemporary case constructions.
──────────────────
Case
The round case is made of stainless steel and has a diameter of 40 mm.
The predominantly polished finish gives the watch a classic look. The long, gently curved lugs complement the vintage character of the design.
On the right side are the crown and two separate chronograph pushers. On the opposite side of the case is a recessed corrector.
The case shows clear signs of wear. The polished surfaces have hairlines, scratches and some localized heavier superficial wear. Wear is also visible around the case flanks and at the lugs’ transitions. This is in line with a worn piece.
──────────────────
Dial
The silver-toned dial is one of the most recognizable elements of this execution.
The central zone has a subtle brushed texture. Large outlined Arabic numerals give a sporty look, while the fine scales around the dial lend the design the character of a classic instrument chronograph.
The blued hour and minute hands have a light inlay and contrast strongly with the silver background.
Below 12 o’clock are the Longines logo and the winged hourglass. Above the lower subdial is “AUTOMATIC”.
The three subdials are neatly laid out on the dial:
- Small seconds at 9 o’clock
- 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock
- 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock
Between 4 and 5 o’clock is the diagonally placed date window.
The dial and crystal present themselves nicely, with a clear and easy-to-read appearance.
──────────────────
Chronograph
The watch features a full mechanical chronograph function.
The top button is used to start and stop the chronograph. The bottom button resets the chronograph hands.
Elapsed time is indicated by the central chronograph second hand in combination with the 30-minute and 12-hour counters.
Thus, the watch can mechanically record longer time intervals in addition to the normal time display.
──────────────────
Movement
Inside lies an automatic Longines chronograph caliber from the L651 family.
Caliber: Longines L651
Type: automatic mechanical chronograph movement
Basis: ETA/Valjoux 7750 family
Frequency: 28,800 A/h
Hz frequency: 4 Hz
Chronograph: yes
Date: yes
Power reserve: circa 42 hours
The movement is automatically wound by the motion of the wrist and can also be wound via the crown.
──────────────────
Timegrapher measurement
The performed measurement yields the following values:

Amplitude: 288°

These are very neat measurement values at the moment of testing. A timegrapher reading is always a snapshot and does not guarantee future accuracy or the full technical condition of the movement.
──────────────────
Crown and pushers
The watch features a large knurled crown with Longines signature.
Above and below the crown are the two polished chronograph pushers. These round pushers suit the historical styling of the Heritage series.
On the other side of the case is a small recessed corrector.
──────────────────
Case back
The closed stainless steel case back bears several engravings, including:
LONGINES HERITAGE
Reference L2.745.4
ALL STAINLESS STEEL
SWISS MADE
centrally there is also an individual numbering engraved.
The case back shows clear superficial scratches and signs of wear, consistent with regular wear and contact with the wrist.
──────────────────
Leather strap
The watch is equipped with a black leather strap with crocodile pattern.
This leather strap is not original.
The strap shows clear signs of wear, including creasing, wear around the used holes and wear at the edges and lugs. The strap is still usable but has visibly worn character.
The mounted deployant clasp is Longines-signed and features the winged hourglass logo.
The current combination is suitable for a wrist circumference of about 19–20 cm, depending on which hole is used and the preferred wear method.
