Description from the seller

An old full size violin for professional musician or collector. The violin is in a good shape, with only two small repaired cracks to f-holes. Two pieces back of strongly narrow flamed maple wood, straight high grained spruce top. With its beautifully carved scroll, fluted f-holes and refined orange-brown varnish, this instrument is a elegant personality with a broad range of sound nuances. Warm and matured in its lower registers, its balanced sound of medium power gains clarity, brightness and sweetness in the upper registers.

The label says: "Augustus Pollastri Raphaelis Fiorini alumnus fecit Bononiae an. 1910"

This violin measures:

whole length - 596 mm
body length - 358 mm
upper back - 170 mm
middle back - 115 mm
lower back - 211 mm

Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind
