Description from the seller
Beautiful Set of Two Handmade Bronze Buddha Hands (Vitarka & Karana Mudra) on a Stand
• Vitarka Mudra (the raised hand): The symbol of discussion, intellectual debate, and the transmission of the Buddha's teaching. It invites wisdom and peace.
• Karana Mudra (the downward hand): A powerful symbol for warding off negativity, dispelling demons, and letting go of fear and obstacles.
The sculptures stand out for their refined details. Note the graceful details around the wrists and the subtly engraved wheel- or flower-symbols in the center of the palms, which represent the Wheel of Life (Dharmachakra). The figures have a beautiful, authentic green-brown patinated finish that enhances their historic and spiritual aura.
The raised hand is 28 cm high, 9 cm wide and 6 cm deep.
The downward hand is 22 cm high, 13 cm wide and 6 cm deep.
Both in good condition with small signs of aging.
The lot can optionally be collected in Vught, North Brabant.
