A new, limited edition black leather basketball personally signed by Julius Erving (Dr. J) with a JSA COA in a deluxe case and a Philadelphia 76ers logo embroidered, housed in original packaging and frameable, with the case not assembled for shipping.
Description from the seller
Julius Winfield Erving II (Nassau County (New York), February 22, 1950), commonly known by the nickname Dr. J, is a former American basketball player. Erving made a major contribution to modern basketball, in which athleticism, jumping and playing above the rim became increasingly important.
Erving was in 1976, at the time of the merger with the NBA, the most famous player in the American Basketball Association (ABA). He won, in ABA and NBA combined, three championships and four Most Valuable Player Awards. In three seasons he led the scoring list. He did so while playing with the Virginia Squires and the New York Nets in the ABA, and the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA. He is the fifth-highest scorer in professional basketball history with 30,026 points (NBA and ABA combined). He is the only player who was named MVP in both the ABA and the NBA. In 1996 Erving was honored as one of the 50 greatest NBA players of all time, which, in that year, on the occasion of the NBA's 50th anniversary, was compiled into a list. In 1993 he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Erving was one of the best basketball players ever. He was known for his dunk from the free-throw line. He was one of the best dunkers of all time. His best-known dunk was the "slam" dunk. Since then this move has grown into a staple concept in basketball and is seen by most as a fundamental part of the game. He is also credited with creating the "cross-over" dribble and the "no-look" pass.
This concerns a beautiful black leather signed basketball by Julius Dr Erving. Including JSA COA in a super deluxe case and embroidered 76ers logo.
Due to fragility the case will not be assembled for shipment. You will need to assemble it yourself.
The item will be shipped insured as standard. Your purchase can be provided with an invoice if desired.
