A woman, the beach, the sun, a chic picnic, a nonchalant and languorous attitude, a blonde hairstyle in which the sun bathes its rays, and a captive and captivating lobster, there in the hands of this woman, with the airs of a mermaid. GEIDA presents here, an artwork indeed, decorative and anachronistic, but also a pamphlet of our societies. A young woman of timeless beauty, keeping at bay the arms and hands, of a lobster desperately trying to grab it. PIC-CHIC draws us in and holds us, invites us to reflect as much as to contemplate.

GEIDA is a French artist, from the south of France, born in 1982, on the shores of the Côte d’Azur.

Inspired by classical and modern painting, he navigates between contemporary works and street art. His creations incorporate emblematic elements of classic and pop culture. His works are characterized by re-interpretations of major painters, warm colors, expressive and entrancing compositions.

GEIDA explores different forms of universes and productions. Some of his works are reproduced in small series on canvas panels, creating limited editions accessible to a broader audience.
The artist’s style reflects a blend between classical art and new techniques. Aimed at captivating attention, provoking thought and sublimating interiors.
