4/4 violin made in Germany, labeled Joseph Fischer, a south German master instrument dated 1807, wood body, tested and playable, in good condition, weight 0.5 kg, no extras.
Description from the seller
On offer is an old fine full sized south german master violin, made and labeled: "Joseph ...cher Lauten und Geigenmacher in Regensburg Ano 1807". The instrument is ready to play with old good ebony set up and old Dominant strings. Some small professionally repaired cracks on top. The tone is powerful, deep, rich, clear as a bell and focused with many colors to work with. It is responsive and even in all ranges. The violin has two pieces back made from beautiful flamed maple with matched sides and scroll; the table is likewise matching of high quality, straight medium grained spruce. The purfling has been painstakingly inlaid front and back. Original brown varnish over lighter ground.
The whole length of the violin is 59,2 cm and the back 35,9 cm.
The width of the upper bouts: 16,4 cm; middle bouts: 11,5 cm; lower bouts: 20,6 cm.
