"Frammenti di Rosso" : Small wooden elements come together in a compact three-dimensional form. The red gathers them into a single body while the different tilts capture light and create ever-changing shadows. A work built through the repetition of the gesture where different fragments become part of a single form.
The Three-Dimensional Work is handmade entirely with recycled materials. The individual triangular wooden elements, cut from boards destined for waste, have been cut and worked one by one by the artist. Small marks and barely perceptible imperfections are not defects but preserved traces of a previous life. The frame is also made from recycled material and artisanally adapted to highlight the work's details. What was destined for discard thus finds a new identity through form, rhythm, and movement.
"Frammenti di rosso" can dialogue with both contemporary environments and classical furnishings, becoming an artwork with strong personality.
PAOLO CONTIN has been developing a personal and continuously evolving artistic path for over twenty-five years. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he brings to painting a particular sensitivity to color, form, and compositional balance.
Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo exhibition in Padua. This was followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad with shows in Copenhagen, Munich, Stuttgart, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Sanat Fuari, Buenos Aires and Sydney.
Paolo Contin's artistic path is also documented by the presence in the Mondadori Art Catalog with related quotations. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo shows and major art fairs, some of which were published with support from the Italian Cultural Institute.
He was also among the founding members of "Tostart", an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Venetian artists and active until the Pandemic period.
Eclectic and independent artist Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, distant from belonging to a single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, fields, geometric shapes, and intense color relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he investigates balance, movement, and emotion.
Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works built through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a research that transcends the confines of painting alone.
His work continues to evolve today without predefined formulas: every work is born from the will to preserve freedom, identity, and expressive authenticity."
