A nice early 19th century full size italian violin for professional musician or collector. The label says: Jo Baptista Ceruti Cremonensis fecit Cremonae An. 1812. This violin is in good condition with no cracks. Beautiful model with a very elegant natural amber patina, very high quality of woods, perfect details all over.
Straight medium grained spruce top. The softly flamed two pieces maple back measures 363 mm. The total length of the violin is 598 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 170 mm; middle bouts: 114 mm; lower bouts: 208 mm. Full size.
The violin has neatly inlaid purfling on top and back. This tonally extremely interesting instrument is now ready to play, and i recommend it highly for its powerful, warm and sweet sound full of typically Italian character.
