About the artist:

Diederik van Apple was born in 1985 in Leiden, Netherlands, and grew up there. In his childhood he always visualized the big picture. There was no boundary between fantasy and reality. He was addicted to Walt Disney books and legendary films like The Godfather, Scarface, Pulp Fiction and Boondock Saints. He loved seeing the stories, reading them, and immersing himself in them as if he were part of the piece.

In 2003 he began his law studies, but after two years he realized that he could not express his creativity in this field and decided to quit. In 2005 he started as an art representative in an art gallery in Amsterdam. During these years he traveled the world, participated in exhibitions and art fairs for the gallery, and found his passion.

With his experience, artistic insight and passion for art, he began to think about designs for works of art. Combine his imagination with the artistic atmosphere in which he had lived in recent years. There was no boundary between work and leisure and he began to build unlimited possibilities of digital mix-media art. After his first launch in 2017 he produced three series of limited editions that sold out within a short time.

This was the beginning of Van Apple’s artworks and his career. He took 6 months and released astonishing new series of artworks; Mr. Satoshi, Golden Tweety, loved by Daffy and Mickey Who. After his latest releases he decided to dive deeper into the creative mood and flew once to Ibiza. The most artistic island on earth was a great success and new ideas frequently emerged. At the moment his artworks are very popular worldwide among art lovers and investors are fascinated by his style.

Van Apple’s art is a blend of digital techniques such as photography and famous attributes. The basis of the art is aluminum or gold foil, then he adds holograms, colors, glitter, diamonds and other handmade items. All artworks are finished by hand with multiple layers of epoxy resin. By adding these layers he can create innovative and unique mix-media art with a fantastic 3D effect.
