Description from the seller

Original Jacob Kanbier
Signed

Jacob Kanbier (1949-2020) and Herman Brood knew each other from the Amsterdam action-painting world in the late 1980s.

In 1987 they took part together in an 'action-painting show' at the Boulevard of Broken Dreams in Amsterdam, together with Jules Deelder and Simon Vinkenoog.

Kanbier also worked during that period with the After Nature group of Peter Klashorst and belonged to the same circle of rugged, explosive painters in which Brood also belonged.
