This captivating acrylic-on-canvas work presents a three-quarter stylized portrait of a woman of sovereign elegance against a vibrant blue background infused with light. The composition stands out for a fascinating geometric and mosaic treatment of the face and clothing of the figure, combining facets in warm tones —yellow, red, terracotta and touches of gold— with yellow butterflies in flight that bring dynamism and a symbolism of metamorphosis. With an outfit and headpiece richly detailed in dark, intricate patterns, the piece fuses contemporary pop art with an aesthetic of ethnic influences, conveying a powerful sense of serenity, dignity, and vivid chromatic vitality.
