Title: Il respiro delle onde, period 2020+, technique oil on canvas, country of origin Italy.
Description from the seller
Title: The Breath of the Waves
Artist: Bruno Di Giulio
Technique: Oil on canvas
Dimensions: 40 x 50 cm
The movement of the sea dominates this coastal view, in which successive waves advance toward a shore scattered with rocks. In the center, a large crest rises and breaks into a luminous foam, creating the main point of tension of the composition. The rocks, described with brownish and reddish tones, offer a stable counterpoint to the water's constant mobility.
The marine palette alternates deep greens, bluish grays and whites, with subtle warm reflections crossing the surface. In the distance, a small settlement gathers along the coast on the left, while a promontory guides the eye toward the horizon.
The sky presents broad dark clouds, separated by clear openings through which a faint light filters. A group of birds introduces a gentle note in the upper space. The alternation between shadows, foam and reflections returns the strength of the seascape, transforming the rhythm of the waves into an almost perceptible presence.
