Geneve 10 Rubis pocket watch (1850–1900) with manual winding movement, 45 mm case diameter, case material unknown, weighing 66 g, in good condition with visible wear, in working order and shipped insured.
Description from the seller
Swiss-made pocket watch, with inscriptions “Robert – Genève” and “Cylindre – 10 rubis” on the inner cover. Case diameter about 45.1 mm, excluding the crown.
The case stands out for the beautiful engravings on the back, where a dense geometric pattern frames a central cartouche without initials, surrounded by scrolls and vegetal motifs. The decoration continues along the edge, with an elegant succession of curls and lozenge motifs.
The white dial features black Roman numerals, an outer minute track, and small seconds at 6 o'clock. The skeletonized hands complete the refined character of the whole.
The watch is running. Accuracy and reserve have not been verified. Patina, scratches and signs of wear are present on the case, along with fine cracks on the dial. The material of the case has not been ascertained.
The photographs are an integral part of the description.
Shipping will be handled via Catawiki’s Smart Shipping service, with Poste Italiane, Bartolini, or UPS.
