AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Nestor Adelqui Reynoso leaves us with his Argentine lights. His panoramic-format canvases evoke music, dance, and the work of women who seem to float in the fields.

Born on May 3, 1947 in Lobería, in Buenos Aires province, he died in Buenos Aires in 2006. A professor of fine arts and holder of a national Master’s degree in visual arts, he expressed himself through drawing, collage, oil painting, chalk, pastel, acrylic, pencil and ink. His favored subjects were scenes from the periphery of old Buenos Aires, tango in all its forms, and the landscapes of the Buenos Aires plain. He held solo exhibitions at Krass Gallery in Rosario in 1974, at Rodolfo Cascales Gallery in 1975, at the Hacoaj Nautical Club in 1976, and at the Citroën Art Gallery. He participated in exhibitions in Buenos Aires, in other cities across the country, as well as in national and provincial art fairs. “Néstor Reynoso possesses a conscious pictorial formation, a blend of tenderness and nostalgia, which is manifested in the respectful handling of the subjects he explores, his content being extremely faithful to the anecdote that inspires him.” (Argentine Plastic Arts 1976 by Gregorio Goldemberg, Pen and Brush 1977).
