Magnificent hand-painted ceramic leopard by Ceramiche Boxer, Bassano del Grappa.
It is the maxi model, 74 cm tall and 6.70 kg, hollow inside and finished with a glossy, deep enamel that brings out every detail. The gaze is hypnotic, with glassy yellow-green eyes, the muzzle modeled with great expressiveness and the spotted coat shaded in amber, cream and black tones, typical of Boxer’s hand painting.
Elegant and scenographic pose: seated, with the powerful front legs firmly planted on the ground and the long tail softly coiled on itself. The back is as well finished as the front, with the classic rosettes opened on the back as you see in the photo.
Piece in impeccable condition, still with the original round CERAMICHE BOXER BASSANO ITALY HAND PAINTED MADE IN ITALY sticker applied to the chest. No chipping, no cracks, no restorations. Produced by the historic Bassano manufactory active since 1985, specializing in large-format ceramic animals in Hollywood Regency style.
Perfect as an entry sculpture, near a fireplace, in a living room, in a shop window for a store, studio or venue. It is a piece that decorates by itself.
