Elegant and prestigious 800 silver tea and coffee service, comprising a tray, coffee pot, teapot, cream jug, and sugar shaker, characterized by refined classical taste workmanship and rich ornamental details.
The service features a beautiful curved and shaped line, with worked edges and scroll decorations, elaborate handles, and neobaroque design touches. The teapot and the sugar shaker are embellished with ornamental and decorative elements that confer a particularly important character to the whole.
The service is tied to the tradition of Catanese silversmiths and belonged to a Sicilian aristocratic family. According to family provenance, the silversmith worked in Catania and produced fittings for high-society families and local nobility, a fact that adds historical and collectible interest to the service.
