A nice lot of 6 bottles of F.X. Pichler Dürnsteiner Grüner Veltliner 2020, coming from one of the most renowned wineries in Austria’s Wachau.

F.X. Pichler has for decades been one of the major reference names in Austria. The estate is located in Dürnstein and enjoys international recognition for its Rieslings and Grüner Veltliners, where ripeness and concentration are combined with the characteristic freshness and mineral backbone of the Wachau.

This Dürnsteiner Grüner Veltliner 2020 is a splendid introduction to the style of the estate. The grapes come from vineyards around the historic wine town of Dürnstein, where the steep slopes and stony soils along the Danube provide ideal conditions for Grüner Veltliner.

In the glass you can expect a classic Wachau style with ripe apple, pear and citrus, complemented by spicy and slightly peppery notes and a fine mineral freshness. The 2020 vintage has already gained a few years of bottle age, allowing the fruit to weave together with more complex and savory nuances.

This lot consists of 6 identical 75 cl bottles from the 2020 harvest. An attractive lot to enjoy now as well as to follow in the coming years.

Storage and condition:
