Oil lamp for maritime use dating to 1930–1940, made of metal and glass, by c.ouvrard (France), in excellent condition and in working order, with dimensions 20 cm wide, 20 cm deep and 47 cm high.

Magnificent marine oil lamp, this type of traditional maritime lighting also known as a fanal lamp, often used on boats or barges in the early 20th century, served as a signal or position light, also used in the railway environment (railways).
Also called an onion lamp, equipped with a red glass globe protected by a galvanized metal frame.
Original oil lamp lighting system, functional, removable from the bottom for refilling, watertight reservoir, wick adjustment knob OK, the wick is fairly short and can be replaced easily.
The superb red glass globe is in perfect condition, with no cracks or marks; note a few light traces of wear and use.
It has two handles to be hoisted, usually at the top of a mast, tilting opening mechanism with intact anti-tilt safety.
This splendid piece reminds us that objects from the past were beautiful and of quality, which today superbly matches a modern interior and will surely stand out.
