FRANCESC BERGADÀ - Lines Of Construction C (Escultura Travertino con Acrílico) Ed.Limitada (02/25)

This sculpture piece, of a certain form, is painted in matte black acrylic on top of a solid block of raw Roman travertine marble, 6 cm thick, with polished edges. The stone’s natural cavities give it an organic, porous texture. It is a set of 4 pieces from the collection "Lines of Construction"; in this case it is piece "C" created with a limited edition of 25 units per work, this piece being number 2 of 25.

In this work, I tried to bring forward the prominence of the contrast between emptiness and material, creating a visual game in a minimalist style influenced by architecture and concrete art.

Francesc Bergadà is a Spanish visual artist. As an emerging painter, he has already participated in several national and international exhibitions. His original style of capturing the works in such a concrete and clean way makes him a distinctive artist with great potential.

His works focus on three main pillars: the abstract, minimalism, and the geometric. His works represent abstract constructions within a minimalist context where his straight lines stand out, delivering impact while at the same time granting elegance to the space where they may be placed.

His design inspiration comes from and has origins in the classic game of "Tangram" to build geometric compositions with symmetric and asymmetric elements. In addition, he is influenced by the Bauhaus movement and also by contemporary Nordic authors such as Carsten Beck. Far from virtuosity, he aims to convey emotions in each of his brushstrokes and in his simple designs.
