First Dutch edition (Utrecht, 1773) of this monumental travel work on North Africa and the Near East.
Complete copy with both parts bound in a single half-leather binding. The spine features 5 prominent, raised ribs. Richly gold-banded and gilt-lettered on the spine, with a contrasting red Morocco leather title vignette.
Largely illustrated with all geographical maps and finely detailed copper engravings.
Contains the full preliminaries, the extended subscribers list, and all text pages of both Part I and Part II (including extracts, appendices, and the index).
Equipped with all original, partly fold-out copper engravings (a total of 40 plates), consisting of detailed geographical maps, plans, and natural-historical/anthropological engravings (flora, fauna, and clothing).
Condition - in good condition; corners of the binding slightly worn. The book is in very good condition, with no stains or rust."
