Description from the seller
Prestigious screen-print dossier “Opera no.1” by Giorgio Cavazzano, offered in the 17/40 specimen, belonging to the numbered special edition in Arabic numerals from 1 to 40. The dossier contains two works both numbered 17/40 and signed by Giorgio Cavazzano:
- Work no.1: 7-color screen print with glossy transparent varnish, made on white Cotton Linear Cream 600 g cardboard, size 460 × 608 mm
- Preparatory sketch: 1-color black screen print, taken from the ink drawing dated 1997, size 207 × 240 mm, also signed and numbered
The original dossier lists all technical edition information and specifies that the edition comprised 40 specimens with Arabic numbering and a further 30 specimens with Roman numbering, intended for the author and collaborators.
Produced by Serisco Srl, Limena (Padua).
Both screen prints bear Giorgio Cavazzano’s autograph and the 17/40 numbering. The main screen print also bears the Serisco dry stamp.
Conditions: very well preserved specimen. The works appear clean with vibrant colors; the external dossier may show very slight signs of aging compatible with time. Readers are invited to carefully view all photographs, which form an integral part of the description.
A lot of particular interest for collectors of Giorgio Cavazzano, Italian comics, limited-edition prints, and Disney-related art.
