Three-volume illustrated edition in French of L'Espion dans les cours des princes chrétiens by Giovanni Paolo Marana, published in 1739 by Erasme Kinkius, bound in leather with gold tooling, containing letters and memoirs of a secret Ottoman envoy and 13 engravings across 1532 pages total, in good condition.

The spy in the courts of Christian princes, or letters and memoirs of a secret envoy of the Porte in the courts of Europe; where one sees the discoveries he made in all the courts he has been in, with a curious dissertation on their strengths, politics & religion - Cologne, Erasmus Kinkius, 1739 - part 1,2 and 3 (of 6) - 513; 486; 530 (16) pp - bound in marbled brown leather with richly gold-stamped botanical motifs on the spine, raised bands and a number and title plate
Good. Inner pages browned, here and there a spot, a few wormholes. Loss of corner of four leaves. A small tear, 1 cm, in the margin of three leaves.
