Description from the seller
The Wachtenburg-Luginsland eG Wine Cooperative is one of the oldest cooperatives in the German wine region of Pfalz, based in Wachenheim an der Weinstraße. The association was founded originally in 1900 under the name “Wachtenburg,” followed by the founding of the cooperative “Luginsland” in 1902. The two cooperatives, rivals for decades, merged in 1969 to form the Wachtenburg-Luginsland Wine Cooperative.
The Wachenheim Mandelgarten and Schenkenböhl are famous wine sites in Pfalz’s Wachenheim an der Weinstraße. The Mandelgarten site, for example, refers to historic almond trees in the region and thus to the warm, dry climate of the Palatinate, which is also suitable for growing almonds.
The sites are known for sandy loam soil with good water retention, which gives the vines delicate fruit and a clear structure. Wachenheim lies in the heart of the Mittelhaardt, sheltered by the Haardt Mountains, creating a sunny and warm microclimate.
The box contains:
- 4 bottles Wachenheimer Mandelgarten Weißburgunder Spätlese
- 1 bottle Wachenheimer Mandelgarten Morio-Muskat Spätlese
- 1 bottle Wachenheimer Schenkenböhl Gewürztraminer Spätlese
All bottles are in impeccable condition, the labels excellent, as is the seal over the cork. Bottler: Erzeugerabfüllung, Spätlese
Vintage years ’92, ’94 with fine structure,
Fill level is "h.f." (High Fill) = no visible liquid loss.
