Antique rigid bracelet in red gold (oro rosso) weighing about 12 g, with floral hand‑applied decorations and seed pearl surrounding stones, dating to the late 19th century (1850–1900) in a Victorian style, with no laboratory report and a central red stone not stated as a ruby.
Description from the seller
Ancient rigid bangle in red gold, passed down in my family for over a century.
According to family history, the jewel was given to my grandmother, born in 1897, when she was still very young, by two elderly ladies belonging to a wealthy family. The bracelet was already then a family jewel of the previous owners.
In terms of type and workmanship it is compatible with a production from the second half of the 19th century, but I do not have a formal dating certificate.
The bracelet features a rigid structure with applied decorations handmade, floral motifs, engravings, and small pearl-like elements. There is also a thin safety chain.
The central red stone is not original. Originally there was a pearl, subsequently lost, and my grandmother had the current stone mounted. It is not declared as ruby nor as a precious stone.
The jewel was examined by a goldsmith, who confirmed that it is red gold. There is no clearly legible hallmark and I do not have certification relating to karatage.
Total weight is about 12 g.
It shows normal signs of use and age, visible in the photographs. The artisanal workmanship, the applied decorative elements, and the family provenance constitute the aspects of greatest historical and collecting interest of the jewel.
Shipping carefully packaged and insured.
